Nov 1935Established in Ibogawa-cho, Ibo-gun (today’s Ibogawa-cho, Tatsuno City) in Hyogo Prefecture as the Wool Research Institute of the current Kanematsu Corporation.
Feb 1939Kanematsu Wool Research Institute was spun off into an independent corporation under the name of Kanematsu Woolen Mills, Ltd. capitalized at 2.5 million yen.
Feb 1942Under the wartime Guideline for Curtailment of Companies, companies in the Kanematsu and Kurihara groups were merged to establish Daido Worsted Mills, Ltd. capitalized at 6.7 million yen.
Oct 1949Under the Company Reorganization Ordinance, former Kanematsu companies were separated from former Kurihara companies to establish Kanematsu Wool Manufacturing Co., Ltd. The Tatsuno and Warabi Plants, Tokyo Branch, and Osaka Sales Office were brought under the Kanematsu umbrella. Capital: 15 million yen
Feb 1951Listed on Osaka Securities Exchange.
Capital increased to 100 million yen.
Oct 1964Capital was increased several times to reach 703.31 million yen.
Jan 1983Merged with the fur department and jewelry department of Shiron Ltd. to establish Shiron Business Division.
Apr 1987Separated the spinning division at Tatsuno Plant into a subsidiary company, Kaneyo-Tatsuno, Ltd. (Dissolved in March 1996)
Oct 1987Merged with Kanematsu Shinso, Ltd. to establish Kaneyo’s Bedding Division.
Jul 1988Relocated company headquarters to Kawaramachi, Chuo-ku, Osaka City.
Apr 1994Established new Interiors Trading Department and entered the interiors sector.
Dec 1995Established Kaneyo Corporation (current Kanex Corporation) and launched real estate management and logistics business.
Apr 1997Established new Lifestyle Products Department and entered environment and health-related sectors.
Oct 1999Took over the Living Department from Kanematsu Corporation. to launch the No. 4 Business Division.
Opened Tokyo Sales Office in Kyobashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.
Oct 2000Changed company name to KANEYO Co., Ltd.
Jan 2001Relocated company headquarters to Awajimachi, Chuo-ku, Osaka City.
Apr 2008Relocated Tokyo Sales Office to Shintomi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.
May 2011Relocated company headquarters to Kyutaromachi, Chuo-ku, Osaka City.
Jul 2013Due to the integration of the cash equity market of Osaka Securities Exchange into the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the company’s listing was transferred to the second section of Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Oct 2017With the acquisition of part of the business of Forward Apparel Trading Limited, established a new Textile and Material Trading Department and Middle East Trading Department.
Mar 2020Became a subsidiary of Kanematsu Corporation
Delisted on Tokyo Stock Exchange

Aug 2022Relocated Tokyo Sales Office to current address.
